Gene Bernshtam of Avalon Holdings LLC has spent many years in the commercial real estate investment and development industry. His company specializes in apartment buildings and mixed-use properties. Investment, development, management, repositioning underperforming real estate assets, and consulting are some of the company’s services. Avalon also designs its properties, favoring a contemporary theme. Right now, the company is expanding in Chicago and Miami with the goal of providing clients with houses they will love.
Outside of his real estate work, Gene is a member of the Ferrari Club of America (FCA) and is the secretary of state for the Lamborghini Club of America in Illinois. Over the years, Gene has won many awards from participating in judged classic automotive concourses around the country. He also shows his support for several Chicago aldermen by attending fundraisers.
Gene was born in Eastern Europe and graduated from Loyola Business School with a degree in finance. He received Series 7 and 63 licenses that allowed him to work for an investment banking firm directly after college. He then started an auto business and a real estate company. He believes that a good work ethic is critical to success. Outside of work, Gene enjoys collecting cars, traveling, scuba diving, and weightlifting.
